What's actually stopping you from reaching out?

Last week I wrote about fractional channel leadership. What it is, and when it makes sense. A few of you messaged me. More of you probably read it, nodded, and moved on.

So let me guess what's in the way.

It's not that you don't see the gap. You do. It's that reaching out feels like the first step toward a decision you're not ready to make.

Here's what I'd want you to know before you talk yourself out of it:

→ A first conversation isn't a pitch. It's me asking questions about your business, and being honest if fractional leadership is or isn't the right fit. Sometimes it isn't, and I'll tell you that.

→ You don't need a fully-formed problem statement. "Something feels off with our channel and I don't know what" is a completely legitimate reason to talk.

→ This isn't a 12-month commitment on day one. Most engagements start small and scoped, specifically so you can see how it works before you go all-in.

→ Admitting you need outside channel expertise isn't a signal you failed to build it internally. It's usually a signal you're growing faster than your internal bandwidth can keep up with. Most vendors reach out because their employees are stretched too thin or they are tired of guessing.

If that's you right now… even a little… that's reason enough to send the message. 😊
